Inkodye is a sun-sensitive VAT dye; a creative tool that allows you to print photographic images and patterns onto any porous, natural, uncoated surface with natural sunlight. This includes fabric, paper, ceramics, cement, etc. The prints are permanent and never fade!
You can make beautiful t-shirts, tote bags, upholstery, prints and more at home - without the need for harsh chemicals - and clean up is a cinch! Inkodye can be brushed, dipped, rolled, stamped, stenciled, screen printed, and more! Wont fade or rub off and, as oppose to traditional screen printing, fabrics remain soft to the touch.
Inkodye is used for photograms, shadow prints, painting, dyeing, silk-screening, batik and more! Expose your design to sunlight and watch the color appear! It is set permanently once exposed. Wash out unexposed dye by agitating vigorously with fabric detergent in hot, soapy water or use a dye wash with Inkowash or Sythrapol for added longevity.
Inkodye is the only water-based dye of its kind. Unlike plastisol inks, cyanotype and many alternative photo chemicals, Inkodye does not use PVC, toxic solvents, iron or silver in its formula.
Inkodye colors can be mixed together and diluted with water to create a wide range of colors and effects. Note that the color is subtractive and works best on light-colored materials.
