Each color is completely ready for your dye project. Formulas are based on exactly what is needed to produce 3 quarts of dye water. We mix together full strength liquid dyes and common table salt to stabilize the dye while it is being shipped. Three quarts of dye mixture is generally enough to dye an average sized project. If you desire a darker finished product, add less hot water in the beginning. If you are uncertain, measure how much water it takes to immerse your piece prior to ordering. If you are coloring a large project, order enough dye packages to arrive at your total number of quarts of dye water needed. Avoid splashing dye water solution in your eyes. Cut open the heavy plastic bag and empty the paste into a large empty pot or pail. Completely saturate your material in hot water before it is placed into the dye water pot or pail. Stir the fabric frequently for 30 to 60 minutes or until your piece becomes the darkness that you desire. Rinse in running cold water until the rinse water runs clear.
